Q: What type of activities will the children do?
A: Our Art classes are based on open-ended and process based activities.
This means that the focus is on the experience of creating something and not just how the end product looks. We find that this is the best way for children of all ages to learn and to be able to express themselves creatively.
Q: Are the activities messy?
A: Yes! The activities we provide can sometimes be a little messy as children love to explore with their hands. We provide aprons and all paints we use are non-toxic and washable. It is also a good idea to bring them along in clothes that are "play clothes"!
Q: Are the activities safe?
A: Yes. However, activities will involve paint, playdough, scissors, glue, etc - these products are non-toxic and child safe. Teachers and staff give thorough directions on safe handling techniques and assist children. Parents and guardians are asked to supervise the children under their care and inform the teacher and staff of any concerns before and during each Class.
Q: What does the cost of the class cover?
A: Classes are carefully planned by a Masters/Early Childhood Education qualified teacher, all art, craft supplies, aprons are provided and the messy clean up is on us!
